PLOT: When Sophie (Amanda Seyfried) travels to the city of Verona, Italy, the place of William Shakespeare's ever famous Romeo and Juliet, she finds one of thousands of unanswered letters to Juliet left at the fictional lover's Verona courtyard. The Young American Sophie inspires its author, Claire (Vanessa Redgrave) to search for her long-lost love which sets off a chain of events that will bring a love into both their lives unlike anything they have ever think of.
